The Season Kick-off! is a partner acro gathering designed to prepare you for the upcoming summer acro festival season!

We created this event with a clear intention:
To give you strong foundations, clarity, and confidence before the busy summer begins — so you arrive at festivals feeling prepared, inspired, and ready to explore.

During these four days, we dive deep into four essential topics:

• Whip Pops
• Icarians
• Washing Machines
• Handstands
• Standing (Fundamentals & Dance Lifts)

Each day we focus on one topic. We share exercises that we consider key milestones — not because they are “advanced,” but because in our eyes they unlock many other movements and possibilities once understood.

Instead of collecting tricks, we want to strengthen the roots that allow your practice to grow all summer long.

Our Teaching Approach

This year, we are working with new teaching methods.

We explore:

• How to analyse movements clearly and practically
• How to separate technical analysis from intuitive play
• How to switch between structured learning and free exploration

We believe that real progress happens when both sides are present:

• The analytical mind that understands mechanics
• The playful body that experiments and feels

By understanding the structure behind movements while still allowing space for creativity, you build skills that remain stable — even in the dynamic environment of summer festivals.

Especially for Those Who Feel “Not Advanced Enough”

Last year we received feedback from many lovely acrobats who didn’t dare to join our events because they were afraid the level might be too high.

With the Season Kick-Off Festival, we want to explicitly invite you.

This event is designed as an accessible entry point into:

• The Acro Church
• Our way of training
• Our community
• And the coming acro festival season

You don’t need to arrive with big tricks.
You don’t need to “be advanced.”

You need curiosity, openness, and a willingness to grow.

We will offer structured progressions and clear entry points into each topic — so you can build confidence, refine fundamentals, and step into summer feeling ready.

Level :

We know it’s a big variety of disciplines and maybe not each of them is your thing. But we like the idea of this concept and want to offer everybody the option to get a taste / foundation in each of them.

It would be awesome if you can do the tricks from three of the following four topics :

• Whips:
  • • Tarzan
• Standing:
  • • 2 high
• Icarian:
  • • Throne to bird – bird to throne
• Washing Machines:
  • • Reverse Star / shoulder stand
    • side star

When:

The event starts on Thursday 30.04 at 2:00 PM and goes until Sunday 03.05 5:00 PM

About the venue:

• Former Rectory for eating, sleeping and relaxing. Right next to the church, with a cute inside courtyard for having food and relaxing.
• CHURCH for training, special gimmick to discover and to take some nice pictures
• Outside training space if the weather is good.
• Training props : training weights, all kinds of handstand blocks, elastic bands, yoga blocks,…
• Sauna to relax the body after a good day of training
• Fireplace

Food:

We will organise snacks for during training, coffee and tea. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be organised by the whole group and the cost will be divided through everyone. In the past events it was around 8-9 euro/day per person.
